Laurel Moon was founded in 1994, making it Brandeis’ oldest campus literary publication.
We publish the work of Brandeis student writers in a new edition of Laurel Moon every semester. As a specifically writing-focused magazine, we make an effort to represent as many writers as possible. As such, we accept any kind of creative writing (poetry, fiction, screenplays, etc).
Our general club meetings cycle between casual writing workshops for writers who want to share their work and get feedback, as well as group writing activities and games.
Towards the end of the semester, we become more geared towards putting together our newest publication. Club members that would like to be a part of this process are invited to join the Editorial Staff. Together we go over submissions and shape the newest magazine edition into the best version of itself.
